INDUSTRIAL COATINGS PRODUCTION MANAGER

 Industrial Coating Production Manager wanted for Industrial Coating Facility. The Production Manager will oversee all aspects of production operations, be dynamic and motivated with strong analytical and critical thinking skills and good judgment.  

$50-60K Per Year DOE

 

Requirement for Qualified Candidates:

 

-Managerial experience in Production (industrial coatings, steel fabrication)

-Strong analytical skills

-Expertise of industrial coatings

-Prefer current NACE Level I Certification or higher

-Must be authorized to work in U.S.

-Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

-Four year degree in technical field preferred

 

Duties Summary:

 

  •  Plan the Mid/long term production operations.
  • Coordinate the short term productions activities, priorities and logistic required in order to meet the client requirement.
  • Maintain the weekly production schedule. Communicate with the project managers, vendors, employees, and other departments for planning purposes.
  • Review project requirements defined in the Coating Instructions, Inspection and Testing Plan and the project’s specifications.
  • Disseminate information to foreman and employees and ensure requirements are followed
  • Organize a periodic meeting to communicate the project’s specific needs, specifications, priorities and requirements.
  • Manage the production human resources.
  • Ensure personnel are qualified for their corresponding duty. Maintain personnel qualification records and documentation
  • Defined and coordinate subcontracting needs and/or additional instructions.
  • Ensure the instruments needed to perform inspection verification, including those required to meet contractual requirements, are available and controlled.
  • Authorize shipping of coated products.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained in working condition and safe.
  • Periodically review and evaluate personnel performance, production efficiency, develop and conduct training to improve individual skills and productivity.
  •  All other related tasks and duties.

 

Key Technical Skills/Abilities:

 

  • Work with safety department to ensure that the production operation complies with the legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure production meets customer and business requirements
  • Ensure that the Quality System is communicated and is followed
  • Ensure all customer supplied materials are properly received, staged, processed and shipped as required
  • Ensure proper means and methods along with industry best practices to process material. Including material handling, preparation and coating
  • Elements to manage:
      • Level of productivity.
      • Level of hours used vs budgeted.
      • Level of workers required.
      • Control of overtime.
      • Level of consumption: Coating products, Thinner, Abrasives, supplies, etc.
      • Level of consumption of energy: Fuel, Gas, Electricity, etc.
      • Level of Quality.
      • Effectiveness of operations (blasting, surface preparation and coating application departments).

 

Physical Requirements:

 

Must be able climb on fabrications and ladders, balance, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, grasping, and standing for sustained periods of time. Must be able to repetitively articulate hands, wrists etc. to operate standard office equipment; and perform those similar activities while seated as well as perform computer work for various lengths of time. Often lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; must be able to wear appropriate respiratory protection when needed. Ability to perform work in variable climate conditions such as but not limited to, hot, cold, dusty, noisy etc. Must have the ability to speak English fluently.
