Position Description: The primary purpose of this position is to assist with day to day operations, execution of work, support and grow market share through relationship based customer contacts in Green Bay regional area. Works closely with Jamar leadership team, business development, the estimating team and operational staff to convert broad programs to specific plans; provide assistance in the development of specific performance targets, programs and plan in accordance with Company goals and objectives. Tracks and evaluates branch operating results and performance against pre-determined objectives; assist Business Development with major, target or critical accounts. Assists with proposal activities, contract review, planning, set up, cost control staffing and execution. Addresses concerns and resolves problems in accordance with defined company policy and practices. This position will assist with oversight of all operational components, including scheduling, hiring, coaching and discipline.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provides day to day oversight for branch location and branch business objective, including coordination and oversight of current and future projects
  • Assist with annual department budget, including capital expense
  • Tracks and evaluates branch operating results and performance against objectives. Ensure alignment within budget targets.
  • Performs annual employee assessments aimed at exchanging feedback with each employee to establish clear expectations and goals.
  • Develop and implement individual development plans for staff to maximize their individual potential for fit and productive outcomes for them and the company.
  • Maintains appropriate communications within and between various departments and functional areas within the branch.
  • Ensures compliance with company policy and procedures; works with Operations for training as needed.
  • Support proposal activities, contract review, planning, set up, cost control staffing and execution completion and outcome critique.
  • Assists Business Development Manager in establishing relationships with customers to determine present and future needs, trends, problems and profit opportunities of the branch.
  • Establishes and maintains satisfactory customer and public relations; point of contact for any issues that arise with customers, staff or operations.
  • Inspire team philosophy toward being the best in the industry at what we do and delivering on what we promise.
  • Provides support for safety, quality, billing and collection at the branch level, as requested
  • Assists in the management of staff, including coaching and disciplining as needed.

Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in Engineering, Business, or related field of study
  • Five years’ construction experience, including General Industrial or Industrial Mechanical Construction experience with management scope and operational responsibilities,
  • Working knowledge and experience in pulp and paper, power and utilities, and mechanical processes.
  • Motivated to obtain and exceed financial goals for the branch
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with customers, vendors and other employees. Ability to provide clear directions to employees.
  • Proficient with computer software including Microsoft Office
