Job Summary:

Spark*5 is seeking an energetic and culturally attuned individual with experience in serving families of diverse racial, cultural, and economic backgrounds and an understanding of poverty and inequity. The Connector is a peer support who works with parents every step of their journey, connecting them to resources to prepare their children for kindergarten and increase their family financial stability.

Spark*5 is a new and innovative, place-based initiative focusing on zip code 52404 in Cedar Rapids. It uses a two-generational approach to equip parents and children with tools and skills necessary to succeed. We confront real issues with real solutions designed in partnership with families, neighborhoods, and organizations.

Education and/or Experience:

1. Bachelor’s degree in human services, human development, family studies, early childhood education, social work, or related field AND three years of experience working with families.

OR

2. Associate’s degree in human services, human development, family studies, early childhood education, or social work AND five years of experience working with families.

Hours and Wage:

Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

$18.06/hour
