ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Engage in regular system troubleshooting activities and resolve issues.
  • Perform a wide range of administration duties including installations, debugging, maintenance, upgrades, and general support for various systems.
  • Proactive monitoring of all servers, and services using a combination of tools to ensure high availability and SLA’s.
  • Provide 24 x 7 on-call support on a rotating basis.
  • Attend and actively participate in team meetings.
  • Work closely with team members to provide end-user support and issue resolution.
  • Create and maintain system documentation for updates made to the infrastructure environment.
  • Perform upgrades to operating systems and software packages (i.e., VDI components, Windows services, or other enterprise apps) as necessary.
  • Responsible for maintaining the virtual infrastructure hardware, operating systems, and VMs which support business processing requirements.
  • Work closely with departmental managers to determine future needs and plan for system changes.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, testing, and maintaining disaster recovery plans.
  • Oversees day-to-day operation of corporate systems to drive new capabilities, meet SLAs, security and delivery requirements.
  • Focuses design and deployment of systems technologies to support data centers, corporate offices and remote offices.
  • Ensures corporate network compliance with corporate security standards by recommending and implementing adjustments to corporate systems based on the current requirements.
  • Create projects that are designed to either add functionality required by the company or to address ongoing system failure issues.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:

Required

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 7+ years’ successful Microsoft Server experience

 

Preferred

  • Associates’ degree or Working towards Bachelor’s degree in MIS, or related field.
  • MCSE certification or equivalent work experience
  • VCP certification or equivalent work experience

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Required

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, in order to discuss/document technical information.
  • Ability to execute assignments within established time frames and quality standards, while responding to immediate needs.
  • Organized and detail oriented with excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to multitask with propensity to handle urgent interruptions with poise and professionalism.
  • Provides personable, professional IT customer service to internal and external partners.
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012 and 2016 experience
  • System Security (including patching, OS hardening)
  • Experience with implementing and modifying Windows GPO's
  • Experience with Microsoft sites and services
  • Experience supporting various hardware manufactures like HP, Dell and Cisco UCS

 

Preferred

  • Experience implementing and administering Microsoft SCCM
  • Experience monitoring with Microsoft SCOM
  • Experience implementing and administering Microsoft SCOM
  • Office 365 administration and troubleshooting
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM administration
  • Experience with Microsoft Share Point administration
  • Installation, configuring, updating and managing all aspects of the Vmware vSphere environment
  • Experience with vSphere 5.5, 6.0 and 6.5
  • Experience with iSCSi and FCoE implementation and administration

 

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Primarily indoor work in office environment requiring long periods of sitting.
  • Frequent utilization of manual dexterity and visualizing of computer screen.
  • Occasional bending, carrying, squatting, twisting and lifting up to 50 pounds independently.
  • Provide 24 x 7 on-call support on a rotating basis.
  • Some Travel required.
  • Requires frequent evening or weekend work
