Due to continued growth, we currently have an opening for a Petroleum Service Technician in Training. The Service Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing and service of automotive, electronic, hydraulic and/or mechanical petroleum equipment and products as applicable.

This position will require 6 months of paid training in Tulsa, OK.  Trainees will be expected to reside in the Tulsa area Monday through Friday during the training period, with occasional weekend overtime.  Seneca Companies will provide reimbursement for accommodations, typically an extended stay hotel.  Upon successful completion of the training program, the Technician be based out of Fort Smith, AR to service our customers in eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas.  Applicants will maintain a permanent residence within 20 miles of Fort Smith, AR. 

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoots, performs repairs and preventative maintenance to fueling systems.
  • Monitors and is accountable for accuracy of parts inventory on service van including, but not limited to, transfers of parts to appropriate jobs and other service techs as applicable as well as returns to warehouse facilities.
  • Analyzes electronic and mechanical problems and provide repairs as required.
  • Installs, programs and tests new equipment
  • Communicate with customers and explain technical issues to non-technical people.
  • Present yourself professionally as a representative of Seneca Companies and be prompt when making service calls.
  • On-call rotation and overtime available!

Candidates that have a strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude with experience working on motors, pumps, etc. are encouraged to apply.

Sign on bonuses up to $2,500 available for candidates with current Gilbarco or Wayne dispenser certifications. 

Qualifications:

  • High school education or GED
  • Basic electrical knowledge and mechanical abilities preferred
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel regionally with occasional overnight stays
  • Ability to operate mechanical equipment and machines as described.
