MAJOR GOALS AND PURPOSE
The Carpenter will be responsible for ensuring timely and successful completion of a variety of construction projects.
ESSENTIAL ACTIVITIES
- Construct form-work for placement of concrete
- Erect temporary handrails and associated safety related items
- Layout, measure, mark
- Sawing, cutting, drilling, stripping, nailing, burning, measuring, tightening/loosening bolts, etc.
- Additional activities - hanging doors, framing, etc.
- Adhere to safety guidelines
- Ability to problem solve issues
- Other duties as assigned

PREREQUISITES (i.e., Education, Experience)
- High school diploma
- Member of the Carpenters Union
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
- OSHA 10 hour card
- Understanding of safety, quality, and production
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL EFFORT
- Worker must be able to stand and walk for long periods; use arms and hands to reach for handle and manipulate objects.
- Lift and carry materials weighing 50 pounds.
- Climb up and down ladders, scaffolding, and other objects.
- Carry tools and equipment, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, dig, see and hear.
