Summary
Balfour Beatty Construction in Washington, DC is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join the St. Elizabeth’s West Campus team. The Senior Project Engineer assists the Project Manager with the planning and daily execution of the construction project. Responsible for maintaining certain aspects of the project schedule, as assigned by the Project Manager, by managing the process of submittal approvals, coordinating the timely delivery of materials and maintaining schedules and budgets to ensure projects are completed with quality, profitability and while complying with our Safety/Zero Harm culture.
Essential Functions
- Project Financial Analysis.
- Preconstruction Coordination.
- Project Scheduling.
- Project Administration, Operations, and Close-out.
- Promote Customer and Community Relations.
- Foster Positive Culture, Leadership and Employee Development.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related Engineering field required.
- 4 years or more of construction experience working in a Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineer, or Assistant Project Manager role.
- Experience with project manager software (Constructware, P6, Timberline, etc.).
- Experience with cost projection, financial analysis, budget reviews, labor reports.
- Experience with JD Edwards or similar construction application(s).
Preferred Requirements
- Strong MEP or mechanical experience, very helpful, for this project.
