The VC Manager position helps develop, implement and manage the VC process for each individual office. They are responsible for providing VC and Building Information Modeling (“BIM”) leadership, support, and training for other Choate Construction employees and VC Specialist personnel for their office. They assist in the development of VC based initiatives and processes and serves as the liaison between departments. The VC Manager is responsible for ensuring the overall performance, success, and support of VC techniques and processes for their office. 

This role will be responsible for leading innovation to leverage various VDC technologies to benefit the project objectives.  The VC Manager will perform model creation and management as required to support the project team and the VC department.  They will perform model-based activities including by not limited to as-built modeling, spatial coordination and compiling and coordinating models with subcontractor detailers and modelers.  The VC Manager also organizes and leads BIM Execution Plan kick-off meetings.

Skills, Qualification, and Experience:

• Four (4) to ten (10) years experience.
• Preferred four (4) year degree in Architecture, Engineering or a construction related curriculum.
• Must be proficient with 3D Modeling, BIM, and CAD based software. (Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Sketchup, and others).
