JOB SUMMARY:  In support of the Project Manager and Department Manager, safely provide assistance with all facets of projects in varying stages of the construction process. Estimating, productivity reporting, preparation of bid packages, equipment and material processing, paperwork, customer submittals and other day to day functions in support of projects. Requires a high level of customer service and organization in a fast paced environment.    

ENVRIONMENT / LOCATION:  This position would primarily reside in the field and/or at project specific location with some time at the home office in Duluth. Travel for this position is frequent with up to 70% of time away from the office and 50% of time away from home.

TRAVEL AREA:  Concentrated in Midwest and Northwest region of United States. Some national travel may be required. 

    

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Provide oversight for projects in various stages of estimating and construction.
  • Coordinate with team members with various day to day tasks
  • Review and incorporate historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc. into unit and man-hour figures 
  • Responsible for preparation of bid packages
  • Maintain construction files and logs
  • Receive, review, forward and log owner purchase orders and change orders
  • Preparation of various project status reports
  • Assist Project Manager with the maintenance of job numbers, purchase orders, construction schedules, direct work labor, equipment & material processing,  job progress/completion/closeout

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management
  • Previous experience as a Project/Field Engineer preferred.  
  • Must have excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office; including Outlook, Word and Excel.  Experience with MS Project preferred.  
  • Valid state drivers license
  • Open to a flexible work locations, primarily in North Central Region of U.S.
