 Job Role

As an Assembly Lead with Process Retail Group, you will oversee the assembly of assigned product lines, delegate daily work assignments and ensure adequate levels of materials are available for assembly while focusing on efficiency, quality and customer requirements.

  • Oversee the assembly of products, ensuring the highest level of quality at the lowest possible cost, while meeting the company performance and quality standards and customer specifications
  • Act as a technical resource to assembly personnel to address and resolve inquiries and problems.  Assist  in training employees in the assembly processes for new products and all quality and safety expectations/standards
  • Delegate work assignments to the assembly personnel, ensuring the best use of individual skills sets.  Perform quality checks at the start, during and at the end of each job
  • Operate various hand tools, power hand tools, and machine tools to construct, assemble and finish parts to specifications
  • Ensure there are adequate levels of materials available for assembly
  • Process all necessary documentation and paperwork for completed jobs and programs to include providing production sheets and managing labor hours
  • Read and interpret shop drawings/blueprint specifications to determine procedures and operational sequence
  • Maintain assembly schedules to ensure timely delivery of customer products meeting the company performance and quality standards and customer specifications
  • Comply with all quality procedures and safety regulations, and follow all clean up and housekeeping procedures

 

Qualifications

  • 3 years progressively responsible experience in manufacturing, trades or construction
  • Ability to operate a computer, a variety of small hand tools and precision measuring devices, and standard office machines
  • Forklift operations certification or ability to obtain certification
  • Experience and working knowledge of warehouse and shipping procedures
  • Experience with the following hand/power tools: hammer, screw gun, staple gun, drill, table saw, drill press, miter saw
  • Ability to read/understand blueprints, and operating and maintenance instructions
  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively with other employees of the organization
  • Possess mathematical skills and aptitude; able to read a tape measure and Convert fractions into decimals
