Job Summary
Operate lattice boom crawler crane, usually on a bridge construction jobsite. Travel from jobsite to jobsite in Oklahoma and possibly in Kansas, Arkansas, Nebraska, Iowa or Missouri. Work Monday to Friday, and some weekends, usually 40-50 hours. Overnight stays may be required.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities
- Assemble and disassemble equipment at the job site
- Inspect and maintain equipment to prevent malfunctions of damage, fill out reports documenting both
- Determine the suitability of the supporting ground and surface for loads
- Operate the crane skillfully and safely in conformance with OSHA regulations
- Use a drag bucket, clam bucket, vibratory driver and extractor, auger, frostball
- Lift rebar, lumber, beams, concrete and other items associated with bridge construction
- Drive piling, using a variety of devices (drop or diesel hammer)
- Apply safe shut-down and securing procedures
- Read and understand Safety Data Sheets and container labels
- Identify and communicate safety concerns to management in a timely manner
- Operate other equipment and perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Education
- High School graduate or G.E.D. preferred
- Valid driver's license
- Three years of lattice boom crawler experience preferred
- Valid crane operator certification from an accredited crane operator testing organization, or audited employer program, preferred
Physical
- Good corrected vision (distance at least 20/40, 70 degree field of vision) and hearing (no loss greater than 40 decibels)
- Do not require insulin for control of diabetes
- No medical history or diagnosis that would interfere with the ability to control a crane safely
- Dexterous use of hands and feet
- Climb in and out of equipment unassisted
- Effectively work at heights
- Stand, climb, bend, kneel, reach, lift and balance
- Lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis
- Work safely in adverse weather conditions including wind, rain, snow, ice, mud, heat, etc.
