Interior Designer

The Interior Designer position’s primary role is to work on a variety of projects including office tenant improvements, restaurant, schools, hospitality, residential, specialty retail, industrial, self-storage, aviation, and multi-family. You have exceptional design skills, a background in architecture or interior design, and a portfolio of innovative design concepts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate and produce in the selection of furniture, fabrics, equipment, lighting and specialty specifications
  • Develop work letter to state project scope
  • Produce interior construction documents and details, which meet various and specific program requirements while also representing an overall design concept
  • Quickly develop space planning concepts and generate program documents
  • Work with consultants, fabricators, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives.
  • Participate in the construction administration of projects
  • Assist in managing client expectations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have the ability to maintain existing client relationships and build new client relationships

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-8 years’ experience in commercial or high end residential Interior Design
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketch-up, Photoshop, InDesign and Microsoft Suite
  • Revit experience a plus
  • Rendering skills a plus
  • The ability to work and thrive in a team and independent working scenarios with demonstrable organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in IBC Interior Codes, Texas Accessibility Standards and TDLR requirements
  • Experience in working with local and regional municipalities building departments
  • Bachelors or technical design degree preferred
