Davis-Ulmer is looking for a Marketing Intern to join our team. The marketing department plays a major role in the success of the Davis-Ulmer companies. The ultimate goal of the department is to expand our current customer base while driving revenue and profitability. Marketing will position our brand identity, situating Davis-Ulmer as the industry expert. It will promote and enable the sales effort by developing, nurturing and driving leads within the designated target markets to promote operational success.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with Marketing team to create awareness for the Davis-Ulmer companies
- Affirm usage (to drive depth/ organic growth)
- Focus on the target markets defined in the functional marketing plan
- Continually understand the customers’ changing needs by conducting internal and external market research
- Design campaigns with the end result in mind, practice pre and post measures
- Proactively communicate and promote our brand and service offering
- Measure potential customer’s association of the brand to the organization’s name/offering
- Work closely with the sales team on presentation materials and trade show preparation
- Assemble PowerPoint decks customized to the client for sales meetings
- Ship materials to conference/trade show locations
- Ensure marketing collateral complements the target audience
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Manual
- Demonstrate a willingness to improve job related skills, be responsive to direction and constructive feedback, and show flexibility and creativity in completing work assignments
- Additional job assignments or projects as directed by the leadership team as deemed necessary for the benefit of the company
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
No direct supervisory responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 15-20 hours/week availability
- Must be a self-starter who takes initiative and anticipates needs
- Possess excellent communication skills (spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc.)
- Proficient with Mac and PC operating systems and programs
- Familiar with social media and marketing tools such as:
- Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, Instagram, YouTube, HootSuite
- Email Marketing: MyEmma
- Link Tracking: Bitly or Google Analytics
- Not required but preferred:
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite programs (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma/GED; working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field of study

PHYSICAL DEMANDS and WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Office environment – moderate noise
- Mostly sedentary role
- Requires using the computer consistently throughout the day
- May require travel to other company locations and corporate meetings (10-20% Travel)
