 About the Job

We are looking for a motivated Lighting Artist to join our team in Seattle, WA. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a high visibility, yet-to-be announced project.

Your duties will include lighting design, modeling, color grading and other basic lighting duties. You should have an solid understanding of color theory, lighting concepts and scene composition. A background in 3D modeling and environment art for games will be useful as you will be creating meshes and textures for lighting assets, placing reflection captures and working with blueprints. The highest quality candidates will demonstrate the superior teamwork and communication skills required to ship a great game.

 

Basic Qualifications


2+ years of experience
Solid grasp of lighting fundamentals and how lighting effects mood and gameplay in a realistic environment layout.
Experience with lighting in Unreal.
Proficiency in asset creation software for authoring and organizing game content (Maya, ZBrush, and Photoshop preferred)
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Previous or next-gen video game platform experience is desirable
Good communication, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills


Day-to-Day


Light environments and cineamtics according to defined quality standards, artistic styles, technical parameters and production goals.
Collaborate across disciplines to solve technical and artistic challenges.
Proactively seek feedback from design and art leads to seamlessly integrate gameplay, environments and characters into a beautiful, cohesive experience.
