JMT Trucking is located in Des Moines, IA and Iowa State Trucking is located in Ames, IA. These two entities of Central Iowa Trucking have the ability to service the Central Iowa area. Our fleet of 70+ dump trucks service construction jobs of all types and sizes. We have three Slingers that specialize in hard to reach projects, such as residential jobs. We are looking for drivers who can provide excellent customer service and be a part of a great team.
Requirements:
- Have a current Class A or Class B CDL with airbrakes
- Must pass the Rasmussen Group Click Safety online training prior to beginning employment
- Must have driving record that complies with the requirements of our Safety Department and or
- insurance carrier
- Flexible with hours of operation (nights & weekends) (mandatory Saturdays)
- Be prepared to work long hours during the busy season
- Pass:
- A pre-employment/DOT drug screen
- DOT Physical
- A Comprehensive Pre-Employment Post-Offer Assessment with WorkSTEPS
- Random drug screens
Physical Requirements:
- Climb a ladder
- Shovel (5 pounds) for 3 minutes at a time
- Tarp and un-tarp the box of a dump truck (CIRM operates a few dump trucks)
- Enter and exit a truck
- Chock wheels
- Occasionally lift 60 pounds
- Postural tolerances and fine/gross motor skills
- Carry a chute weighing approximately 60 pounds
- Be physically fit enough to use a shovel in cleaning out a dump box
- Have the physical ability to climb in and out of a truck cab and dump box repetitively throughout the day
