The Production Assistant provides support for the Fabrication floor, the Planning Coordinator and the Production Manager.
DUTIES SUMMARY:
- Deliver internal “requests for information” to the floor and attach to production drawings
- Provide drawing revisions to the production floor and switch out the outdated prints
- Track down material from the floor, yard or shipping department as requested
- Maintain hardware inventory, to include in processing, ordering or optimizations
- Gather revisions and voided marks on “hold” pieces of material
- Maintain shipping container locations
- Obtaining quotes for machining, bent plates or galvanized pieces
- Track and document a list for all bent plates contracted out or done “in-house”
- Comply with all ADF Safety policies
- Perform any other related tasks or as directed management
KEY TECHNICAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficient with computers and MS Office Software
- Strong Attention to detail
- Must have the ability to speak English fluently
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must have the ability to perform the following activities and sustain for varying lengths of time: stand, walk, drag, pull, push, lift, lower, climb stairs or ladders, balance, bend, twist, squat, kneel and stoop on a frequent basis, and work in an elevated location occasionally. Use hands to reach out of power zone frequently. Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to manipulate hands and fingers in order to operate standard office equipment both seated and standing for varying lengths of time such as but not limited to: desktop computer, printer/copier, telephone. Must also have the ability to perform work in variable climate conditions such as but not limited to hot, cold, dusty, noisy etc.
