Job Title: Field Technician

Reports To: Crew Leader/Foreman

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Participate in daily safety meetings.
  • Ensure all safety equipment is working properly and well maintained.
  • Learn data collection procedures and techniques.
  • Become proficient at using all survey equipment.
  • Support crew leader as requested.
  • Assist with data collection in accordance with project scope.
  • Work with a crew of two to five people surveying underground pipelines to identify areas of potential issues.
  • Operate vehicle in a safe manner.
  • Cooperate with technical team.
  • Diagnose and solve problems for customers.
  • Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions.
  • Build positive relationships with customers
  • Responsible for the care and maintenance of vehicles used on projects.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Treat all co-workers, business partners and land owners in a courteous and professional manner.

 Other duties as required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:   

  • Require a High School Diploma or GED
  • Requires a valid driver’s license
  • Familiar with mobile tools and applications
  • Ability to work flexible shifts
  • Proficient in reading and writing
  • Comprehend all construction warning signs

 

WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  Work involves considerable stooping, bending and walking up to five miles per day.  Must be able to perform physically demanding work with long hours and ability to work under any type of weather conditions in different types of terrain.
