JOB DESCRIPTION

Dylan’s Candy Bar associates love the brand, love our products, and are passionate about bringing those products to life for our customers. Greeters work as members of the store team to create a positive customer and brand experience. Providing customers an optimal shopping experience is our highest priority. We work as a team, and team members are expected to perform a variety of cross-functional tasks as assigned by the Manager On Duty or as needed to ensure overall customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Greets and assists customers in a friendly and positive manner regarding Dylan’s Candy Bar offerings, prices, and store information
  • Model the four service skills laid out in customer service
  • Awareness of current instore promotions and events
  • Assist in answering questions from customers concerning generalknowledge of products
  • Must be adept at handling inquiries in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Provides assistance to sales staff as needed
  • Monitors area to ensure a secure environment and reports problems to supervisors
  • Politely welcome customers in a warm and friendly manner
  • Provides exceptional internal and external customers service according to Dylan’s Candy Bar guidelines
  • General knowledge of surrounding area as it relates to directions in the city
  • Anticipates customers’ needs and actively listens while projecting a professional image
  • Perform all other other duties as assigned

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have excellent communication, influencing and selling skills
  • Must be friendly, outgoing and confident with an ability to easily build rapport when meeting new people
  • Must be knowledgeable and enthusiastic about Dylan’s Candy Bar products
  • Enjoy being part of a team environment
  • Preferably have previous retail and/or host/hostess experience in the service industry
  • Must have an availability and flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, store openings and closings, to meet the needs of the business
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED
  • Appreciation of Dylan’s Candy Bar unique culture, entrepreneurial attitude, heritage and passion for its products
