JOB DESCRIPTION

Dylan’s Candy Bar Associates love the brand, love our products, and are passionate about bringing those products to life for our customers. Sales Associates work as members of the store team to create a positive customer and brand experience. Providing customers with an optimal shopping experience is our highest priority. We work as a team, and team members are expected to perform a variety of cross-functional tasks as assigned by the Manager On Duty (MOD) or as needed to ensure overall customer satisfaction.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Consistently provides an exceptional client experience through greeting and interacting
  • Influence customer buying decisions, by communicating information in a friendly and fun manner
  • Sales Associates must be aware of and be accountable to store and individual goals and results
  • Model the four service skills laid out in customer service training
  • Take in the moment direction from the MOD as needed
  • Recovers and replenishes the store executes merchandising directives and maintains visual merchandising presentations
  • Handle all cashier duties with a high level of accuracy
  • Awareness of current in-store promotions and events
  • Maintains store standards per visual presentation direction to enhance customer shopping experience
  • Contributes to a positive work environment by consistently treating all Dylan’s Candy Bar employees and customers with respect
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality
  • Demonstrates a high degree of integrity and enforces and upholds all company policies (i.e. Human Resources, Loss Prevention, Customer Service) and communicates violations to the leadership team or the HR Hotline

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have excellent communication, influencing and selling skills 
  • Must be friendly, outgoing and confident with an ability to easily build rapport when meeting new people
  • Must be knowledgeable and enthusiastic about Dylan’s Candy Bar products
  • Enjoy being part of a team environment
  • Preferably have previous retail and/or customer service experience in the service industry with proven results (1-year minimum)
  • Must have an ability and flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, store openings and closings, to meet the needs of the business
  • Ability to multi-task, while being attentive to customers and remaining flexible to the needs of the business
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independent of direct supervisor
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED
  • Appreciation of Dylan’s Candy Bar unique culture, entrepreneurial attitude, heritage and passion for its products
