Primary Duties

  • Support and engage the culture of Abbott in alignment with core values and mission statement.
  • Be available to be the first line of communication and contact between the employees of Abbott and the HR department.
  • Receive and respond timely to HR inquiries via telephone, email, or in-person, and complete with a high degree of accuracy and strict adherence to written procedures, while maintaining confidentiality of all HR related information.
  • Explain company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees or job applicants.
  • Administer jobsite badging program.
  • Process monthly billing for various benefit carriers.
  • Administer benefit programs including wellness, medical, dental, vision, 401k, and other ancillary benefits.
  • Administer and track leaves of absence including determining eligibility, creating paperwork in a timely manner and answering questions regarding leaves.
  • Answer questions regarding eligibility, salaries, benefits, and other pertinent information.
  • Manage day to day workers compensation administration including return to work and OSHA tracking.
  • Coordinate travel, schedule training sessions, and meetings.
  • Assist with payroll and ad-hoc HR projects.
  • Perform day to day organization of department including filing and data management.
  • Complete special projects as assigned by HR Director or HR Manager.

  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
  • Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
  • Communicate effectively in person or in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
  • Ability to examine employee information to answer inquiries and provide information.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to pass a drug test and background check
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 3 years administrative experience preferably in HR
