We are currently seeking for a Construction Superintendent to join the Kirlin Florida team!

Position Overview

The Superintendent plans and carries out policies relating to the management of construction projects by performing the duties listed below.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee field operation and engineering processes and procedures.
  • Manage Kirlin’s Quality Control Program.
  • Manage and oversee field operation and engineering processes and procedures.
  • Responsible for all activities related to contract administration, change orders, submittals and procurement
  • Foster and enhance owner, architect, subcontractor and vendor relations.
  • Preparing, negotiating, and submitting monthly invoices, reports, & required data to the client
  • Establish, update, and communicate Master Project Schedule and manage its implementation.
  • Support and drive utilization of various Kirlin initiatives and technologies
  • Assume additional responsibilities per supervisor’s direction.

Basic Requirements

  • Construction safety background is required; large contracting knowledge is a plus. 
  • Working knowledge of all applicable regulations including OSHA, EM 385, and EPA, etc.
  • Experience in development of safety plans, AHA's and other documentation.
  • Experience and comfort in working paperless and with different software programs.
  • Experience and ability to coordinate and document inspection schedules, reports and follow up.
  • Team player with strong communication skills and the ability to interact with peers, subcontractors and management.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to plan and work independently.
  • Ability to multitask and work remotely at job sites while visiting multiple projects.

Qualifications

  • Education:  4 year technical or engineering/construction degree or minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering & construction.  These requirements may change based on the requirements of a contract and the Project Manager may be labelled a different type of position to accommodate such requirements.
  • Skills:  MS Office/computer skills; good verbal and written skills, capable of defining roles and responsibilities; know and understand our contracts; and capable of training those below them to perform their job

  • Work Environment:  The work environment ranges from working on a construction site, in a job site trailer, to an office in the division offices.  Noise level is moderate to high.  Requires work boots, safety goggles and hard hat.
