Metropolitan Mechanical Contractors (MMC) is looking for Assistant Project Manager Interns to join our driven and dedicated team. With over 300,000 mechanical contracting projects completed and over 50 years of experience, we aim to hire the industry’s top talent.
In this role, you’ll partner with the Project Manager and APM to oversee and coordinate the implementation of mechanical systems from preconstruction through post-construction and startup. At MMC, you’ll learn from industry experts in our one-of-a-kind Assistant Project Manager (APM) Internship Program. You will be exposed to all aspects of the construction process, learn industry best practices, and experience something new every day. At MMC, we empower our employees to be successful through mentorship, training, and expertise from MMC’s Construction Executives and Senior Project Management as well as from industry engineers and our partner vendors.

You also meet the following requirements:
- Pursuing a Bachelors’ Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management with a strong interest in HVAC.
- Have completed your freshman year of college

MMC Academy: Training our Future Leaders. MMC is committed to training our future leaders. The Assistant Project Manager (APM) Academy/Internship Program is an in-house formal training program. It equips new Assistant Project Managers with technical expertise and teaches industry standards and best practices. The academy curriculum includes sessions related to every phase of construction and involves online, classroom, and job-shadowing classes. Attendees learn key skills in order to be successful in the mechanical contracting industry.
APM Academy Curriculum:
- Virtual building systems
- Estimations and bids
- Mechanical engineering
- General project management
These sessions are taught by MMC’s construction executives and senior project management with help from industry engineers and our partner vendors. MMC’s APM Academy is a one-of-a-kind program. It is the best way to ensure our project managers have all the necessary skills to take a project from the initial estimate to the final closeout.
