Heiman, Inc. is looking for a Fire Apparatus Post-Sale Project Coordinator preparing detailed production specifications for custom fire apparatus construction based on sales contracts

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Review contract and sold apparatus file to edit specifications for sold projects
  • Make changes to specification as needed
  • Incorporate price changes and technical updates to the project file data base (Quote Writer)
  • Request drawing updates through apparatus manufacturer
  • Prepare and Maintain a Balanced Dealer Cost Worksheet
  • Prepare Pre-Construction Meeting Materials
  • Construct Change Orders as Needed
  • Prepare a Finished Production Packet to submit to the apparatus Manufacturer
  • Perform technical research on products to be included in written specification as needed
  • Examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to plans, policies and specifications
  • Maintain records and files of work and revisions
  • Work collaboratively with Fire Sales Representatives to ensure that end product meets customer needs
  • Answer questions for both production and sales throughout project. 
  • Assist with inspections of completed apparatus
  • Assist with sales staff with pre-sale meetings or demonstrating completed units for customer
  • Provide customer service to Fire departments regarding questions about fabrication or apparatus as needed
  • And more!

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Prefer post-secondary education with emphasis given to degrees in construction, automotive, or specification writing preferred
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints
  • Ability to proactively solve problems while analyzing possible solutions
  • Self-starter with good time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written and listening skills
  • A team-player, working together with internal and external customers, providing insight when needed and able to be flexible when goals or outcomes differ
  • Professional attitude, reliable
  • Strong attention to Detail
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office applications and basic office equipment.  Familiar with Microsoft Excel.  Experience with Quote Writer is a plus
