A Federal Operations Manager position is available at Garney Construction. This position will be based out of our Kansas City, Missouri, office. To be considered for this position, you must have previous project management experience working for a self-performing construction company within the Federal market.
Federal Operations Manager responsibilities include:
- Assembling and driving teams to help start-up Federal projects using best practices, Garney Federal forms, and standard plans
- Preparing financial forecast, budgets, and projections
- Supervising Federal reporting
- Identifying, tracking, and developing proposals for the Federal sector of business
- Collaborating with leadership in developing and maintaining best practices
- Ensuring Garney's safety programs and Federal EM385 standards are implemented
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other related field
- 15 years of construction experience, with 10 years in the Federal sector, preferably DOD and USACE– Civil
- Work experience in heavy civil, industrial utilities, and water/wastewater plants desirable
- Knowledge of Federal Contracting Requirements, FAR, and other Federal Regulations
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Extensive travel
