Job Summary
Assists with the compliance of all personnel policies and procedures. Assists with ensuring the company is compliant with all State/Province and Federal Employment Laws including filing and confidentiality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
-Manages employee files by keeping them current, organized, in compliance with regulations, and maintaining proper confidentiality of the information
-Assists with recruiting and new hire efforts including providing interview guides to managers, scheduling interviews, filing paperwork, and ensuring new hires complete required paperwork
-Schedules and completes new hire orientations with new employees
-Assists managers and employees on the adherence to the policies, procedures, laws, and regulations
-Performs training during new employee orientation
-Assists managers with compliance to the organization’s performance management processes and files necessary documentation
-Assists managers with employee relations or issues
-Administers workers compensation and FMLA processes
-Assists in administering employee engagement programs which may include recognition and wellness
Position Qualifications
-1+ years of experience in an administrative assistant position
-Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
-General knowledge of employment laws, policies, and regulations
-Ability to use database software and human resources computer application systems
-Understanding of confidentiality policies and other regulatory policies
-High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
-Associates Degree in Human Resources preferred
