Magnolia Plumbing, Inc.’s Commercial Plumbing Service Division is hiring a Field Manager. Your primary function is to manage all aspects of the divisions day to day field operations.  Efficiency, time management, productivity are all necessary skills sets to ensure success and company profitability in this role.  You must be able to provide constructive feedback to service technicians in the form of coaching, mentoring, and/or implementing corrective action when necessary.  This position requires a strong plumbing background and desire to grow and develop a team of highly trained Journeyman Plumbers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in evaluating skill level of apprentices and technicians
  • Train and develop field staff
  • Ensures technicians have required material and equipment needed to maximize efficiency
  • Instructs technicians on workmanship quality, proper service, and proper materials
  • Monitor material costs, job hours and efficiency, and productivity of field staff
  • Monitor fleet for cleanliness, safety, and timely maintenance
  • Evaluate equipment and tools on company vehicle to ensure adequately stocked and maintained
  • Participate in and provide content for monthly team meetings
  • Determine necessary technical training and coaching needs
  • Ensures professional appearance of field team members and company vehicles
  • Site visits to meet with customers to resolve complaints, ensure quality workmanship, evaluate productivity, and monitor efficiency
  • Assist in developing field operating policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Five years related field experience as Journeyman plumber/gas fitter
  • Two years of management/supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of plumbing code and regulations
  • Customer service skills
  • Leadership skills to motivate and empower others
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks at once
  • Strong sales skills
  • Ability to communicate ideas effectively
