SCHEDULE ENGINEER

The Schedule Engineer is responsible for monitoring, updating, and oversight of all aspects of an assigned project schedule.  This includes the pre-planning for all stages of the project (from pre to post construction).  The Schedule Engineer works diligently to meet all project scheduling needs from development, analysis, and monitoring to attending project meetings, field walks etc.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Two or four-year degree in construction related field
  • 4+ years of construction & scheduling experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication and leadership skills
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, innovative and forward-thinking
  • Competence in Primavera P6

Office and Travel:

  • Must be willing to travel

Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Develop, manage and implement the project schedule as designed and adjust as necessary.
  • Proactively work with Project Management and Field team to identify potential obstacles and impacts to schedule, participate in problem solving to address and ensure schedule remains updated.
  • Facilitate project-specific scheduling meetings and ensure all changes to the schedule are captured and communicated as needed.
  • Ensure all schedule documentation including files, reports, narratives, are updated and current.
  • Work closely with Project Management and Field staff to forecast and provide objective schedule input.
  • Support and follow standard work.
  • Prepare Time Impact analyses as required for the project.
  • Participate and support implementation of Lean and continuous improvement culture and methods.

Position involves sitting at times while working at a computer terminal. Employee must be able to communicate effectively in a typical office environment with a standard level of office noise. Standing, bending, walking and lifting is also required.

Employee will be required to work continuously on construction jobsites, which may expose the employee to dirt, dust, uneven surfaces, outdoor weather conditions and extreme temperatures. In addition, employee must be able to move around prospective or current project sites. This includes climbing ladders, walking on uneven surfaces, walking long distances, and climbing stairs.
