Territory: Ann Arbor/Jackson/Lansing/Flint/Brighton

Position Summary:

Sell products to new and existing customers to grow revenue and profits.  Promote product features and benefits, prepare bids, and negotiate prices with customers.

 Essential Functions:

  • Uses effective sales techniques to develop, grow, and retain accounts
  • Conducts effective sales and product presentations to customers
  • Educates customers on product features and benefits to ensure products are understood and used effectively
  • Consistently closes sales opportunities
  • Develops and maintains business to achieve individual sales revenue targets
  • Increases customer same store sales year over year
  • Properly qualifies customers
  • Develops and maintains client and prospective client relationships through personal visits and all other means of contact to promote sales growth and continual customer satisfaction
  • Follows-up on potential leads, orders, inquiries, and issues  
  • Ensures high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service and consulting
  • Committed to addressing and resolving customer complaints in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Proactively seeks to improve product knowledge by interacting with internal and external subject matter experts
  • Regularly attends sales/training meetings
  • Identifies and quickly responds to competitive threats within the territory
  • Communicates market intelligence/competitor activity promptly to Sales Manager and/or General Sales Manager
  • Files all required reports on time
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent training and experience in successful sales practices and methods
  • Minimum 2 years’ business-to-business sales with a proven track record of success
  • Two years’ experience in a customer-facing sales role (business to business)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Good driving record, able to meet Vesco Oil Corporation’s driving requirements
  • Well-groomed with professional business attire and appearance
  • Must be able to transport company product in company vehicle
  • Must be able to drive throughout the workday

Travel
