Tolin Mechanical Systems has an immediate opening for a Industrial HVAC Journeyman at the Phoenix branch in Arizona. We are seeking a candidate who meets the qualifications listed below.

Salary: based upon experience and skill level.

Ideal candidates will have the following background:

At least 5 years of HVAC experience in a Industrial Chiller environment. Journeyman’s certification strongly preferred.  EPA Universal and OSHA 10 certifications are required.  Candidates should have a clean driving record.

Description: Perform quality industrial commercial HVAC service, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair to clients in Phoenix and the surrounding Metro area.  Provide excellent customer service.  Make recommendations regarding the repair and replacement of equipment including air cooled/water units, centrifugal fans, up to 100 ton chillers, up to 500 tons air cooled equipment, variable speed drives, pumps etc.

*Performs additional job duties as requested.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00a.m.-4:00p.m.


Qualifications:

  • EPA Universal & OSHA 10 Required Journeyman level Certification is preferred
  • If a candidate presents substantial experience, but needs to secure an AZ Journeyman status with the union, the company will consider on case by case and time to secure.
  • Experience on industrial and commercial equipment is strongly preferred
  • Most Industrial Journeymen are more skilled, involves centrifugal fans and includes up to 100 -1000-ton chillers and up to 500 tons air cooled equipment, variable speed drives, pumps etc. Specific examples of industrial equipment and processes are required for interview/resume.
  • Good customer service skills are required, but there is not an upselling requirement
  • The candidate should possess the ability to find opportunities for quick quote (sales prepares)
  • All tools provided (A candidate who prefers his/her own, is welcome to use them)
  • Uniforms, company vehicle, Gas Card, Ipad and cell phone provided by the company
  • This position will service the Phoenix and surrounding Metro areas
  • This position will dispatch from home, sometimes from the office
  • M-F 7a-4p; on-call schedule rotation which translates to a couple weeks throughout the year;
  • This position is open due to growth
  • Candidate must have a clean driving record for insurability through the company’s policy
  • There is room for advancement as the company is growing, part of Service Logic (larger ownership company with acquisitions); service manager would be next step, sales promotions and opportunities to relocate within the company’s other locations.
