GEL Solutions, LLC. (GEL) is a niche professional services firm providing Surveying, Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE), and Geophysical services to clients throughout the southeastern United States.  We are seeking an outstanding and energetic individual to support our Marietta, Georgia office.  The successful candidates will join us in solving challenging problems in the infrastructure, environmental and natural resources sectors.

GEL Solutions – GEOPHYSICS TECHNICIAN II – Marietta, Georgia

GEL has a position for a Geophysics Technician II in our Marietta, Georgia office.   This position has very high growth potential and is ideally suited for motivated individuals who enjoy working outdoors within a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial company.  The primary responsibilities include surface and borehole geophysical data collection, documentation of field activities, data interpretation, and preparation of project reports and other deliverables.  Field work and travel is required.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:  

-Perform and document field work
-Calibrate and maintain equipment and supplies as needed
-Analyze data and prepare results in written and graphic format
-Assist with tasks of various scope with supervision
-Provide exceptional customer service

Education Required:

-High School Degree with focus on technical or science field, minimum
-Bachelor or Associate’s Degree in Science or related fields, preferred

Experience/Skills Required:

  • Working experience with geophysical  equipment such as geophysical borehole logging systems, seismic, electrical resistivity, ground penetrating radar, electromagnetic, and magnetic equipment a plus
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Excel and Word, and CADD software) a plus
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Physical strength and endurance to perform field work
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Possess high ethical standards and the Core Values of the GEL Group
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record
