Stagehands are hired seasonally throughout the year and as needed to grow our call-list pool for shows and productions when the need arises; we may not be hiring when you apply but your application will be reviewed when we are hiring for the call list/pool. *We keep this application open as our needs will vary throughout the year so you may not hear from us unless we are hiring to add more to our pool of Stagehands on our call list. **
What you will do!
A. Space Preparation
Assist in the preparation and set-up of any required stage equipment and fixtures; rigging of any required soft goods, and flown equipment; hanging and focus of lighting equipment; configuration, and set-up of sound equipment; preparation of any required support spaces.
B. Event Support
Assist in the load-in of equipment, and scenery; rigging and setup of equipment, and scenery; execution of lighting and sound requirements. Supply running crew support to include, but not limited to: shift crew; fly line operator; lighting operator; sound operator; follow spot operator; wardrobe; stage management; property crew; special effects crew. Assist in the strike and tear-down of equipment and scenery; load-out of equipment and scenery.
C. Restoration
Assist in restoring performance, and support spaces to their pre-event configurations; restoring lights; report equipment problem, or failures to the assigned department head.
What you will need!
Knowledge of technical theatre practices, and techniques desirable. Willingness to learn techniques and procedures. Ability to work long hours when needed. Must have and maintain a positive attitude, tolerance of diversity, and respect for coworkers, and artists (professional or amateur).
