Magnolia Plumbing, Inc. serves as a multi-faceted company servicing customer’s in all aspects of Commercial Plumbing. The Waste Management division out of our Laurel office focuses on the removal of wastewater and solid waste to the municipal sewer system.  Drain Cleaning, Sewage, Septic Cleanouts, and Cleaning with CCTV’s are the many services this division can offer.  This departments consists of CDL drivers to handle our large vactor trucks, DOT card holding drivers to drive our jetting trucks, and Class C license holders operating our small pump trucks.  


This job posting is for the Waste Management Field Manager, responsible for
 overseeing the contract jobs specifically related to the Scavenger Division.  Ideally the best candidate will have some experience in the waste management field, as it pertains to tank/drain and septic field work. We will accept someone with supervisory/management experience and a willingness to obtain field specific licensing. Plumbing background and experience would be a HUGE plus for this role.

Job Description:

The Field Manager will provide supervision to 11-15 of the division’s field employees. To include hiring, classroom and job site training of the field staff, inspection of the work performed, job cost profitability, productivity levels of technicians, ensuring a safe environment, and assisting in the enforcement of all company policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Establish, implement, and maintain technical training in the classroom and on the job
  • Oversee/review scope and completion of work with the field staff
  • Provide estimate pricing on small projects that require quick turn-around
  • Review dispatch board for scheduling efficiencies
  • Communicate with clients when necessary
  • Ensure the attainment of all job site goals including safety and productivity
  • Assist in evaluating & disciplining field employees within department guidelines
  • Provide guidance and support for all field staff
  • Ensure that all division key performance indicators (KPI’s) goals including but not limited to safety measurables, attrition rates, labor costs, gross profit, controllable overhead costs and growth are met and/or exceeded
  • Keep the Department Manager informed of all problems, potential and actual, that cannot be resolved satisfactorily by the Field Manager.
  • Perform all reasonable actions to ensure the success of the division

Job Requirements:

  • Master Alternative Onsite Sewage System Operators License or Journeyman Plumbers License
  • 5+ years Related Experience
  • Advanced computer knowledge
  • Medical DOT (will help you obtain)
  • Confined Space Entry Certification (will help you obtain)
  • CDL Class A Driver’s License (preferred)
  • Desire for continuing education-job specific licensing
