JH Kelly LLC, a fourth generation, family owned construction company is seeking Electrical Assistant Project Managers.  The successful candidate will work with a variety of project teams, project types and customers assisting in the design, construction and management of electrical projects.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the creation and response to RFIs.
  • Assist in the preparation and update of the project schedule.
  • Interface and coordinate with designers and provide constructability advice regarding design.
  • Work with construction and design professionals in the main office and the job site.
  • Provide permit procurement assistance.
  • Assist project managers with the coordination, review, and approval of project shop drawings and submittals in conjunction with project specifications.
  • Assist with estimating takeoffs.
  • Maintain as-built documents.

Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Technical Trade School, or a construction industry related field.
  • Internships with industry related professional firms may be considered as work experience.
  • A background or experience in electrical design, industrial controls, the electrical construction process, and the NEC is highly preferred.
  • Experience working with MS Office & Bluebeam. CAD experience is preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings.

  • Self-starter and motivator.
  • Organized and productive individual with the ability to adapt and work under pressure.
  • Maintain proactive relationships within the crafts including apprentices, journeymen, supervision and staff.
  • Maintain proactive relationships with Client Representatives, Suppliers, and Subcontractors.
