Position Overview

Goodwill is a great place to work for those who shine at performing janitorial duties. You will be assigned to a retail store and donation center and be responsible for the following:


• Consistently acts in in a professional and pleasant manner when interacting with customers, donors and co-workers
• Completes assigned janitorial duties with guidance from management
• Cleans the sales floor, including underneath the garment racks, along with the store and donation vestibules using a broom, mop, vacuum or floor scrubber
• Cleans bathrooms including mirrors, counters, toilets and floors, spot cleaning walls, wiping all handles and emptying trash. Stocks all supplies for restroom. Revisits bathrooms throughout their shift to complete touch ups as needed
• Routinely picks up debris, hangers and product inside and outside store
• Collects and empties trash from public areas, break rooms and offices
• Cleans and polishes drinking fountains
• Cleans dressing rooms including mirrors, benches, baseboards and floors
• Routinely dusts all ledges, the top of fitting rooms and underneath H-Racks
• Mops and wipes down tables in breakroom
• Vacuums employee offices
• Informs management of the level of cleaning supplies on hand, alerting them if there is a need to purchase more

 Qualifications for this role include:

  • 16 years of age or older
  • A minimum of two years of high school; related work experience a plus
  • Ability to operate and maintain basic cleaning equipment with training including; floor scrubber, vacuum cleaner, brooms, mop and bucket
  • Ability to lift, push or pull up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to withstand minor air contaminants
