We are looking for a Director of Quality Assurance with the desire to solve complex problems within an engaged workforce.  You will be a champion of quality and efficiency, employing your technical skills to ensure overall quality and that our software meets the highest standards.  The director will work with Engineering Managers, development teams, product and Quality Assurance Engineers across the organization to ensure the highest level of quality for our technology products and solutions.  As a stakeholder in the Agile process, the director will work to improve the quality of the product and process continuously.

Responsibilities

• Develop, communicate and own the overall strategy that describes how we ensure our products are delivered with high quality
• Partner with the Director of Development to transform how we develop software using TDD best practices
• Direct the efforts of our automation team to develop the tools and frameworks needed to efficiently ensure and measure quality
• Direct the efforts of our manual quality engineers to maximize the effectiveness of manual testing within the Scrum process
• Establish the quality best practices across the whole quality discipline
• As a member of the CTO executive staff, work with the Architect, Director of Development, and Director of DevOps to establish a culture of a high-performing technology team
• Recruit and assess talented quality engineers to join our team
• Mentor QA Engineers to improve testing skills, test coverage, and automation testing
• Be plugged in to the quality community keeping abreast of the latest practices and technologies

Qualifications

• Have lead quality organizations at scale (10+ engineer teams)
• Experience with TDD
• Natural leader and great communicator
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Ability to create and implement a product quality process that drives measurable improvement of release quality
• Manage the ratio of quality resources and staffing levels to effectively deliver superior products of excellent quality
• Ability to utilize quality automation tools and frameworks to build a new, or extend existing quality automation processes and tools
• Establishes and implements key performance metrics to create ownership/accountability for QA processes and communicates benefits delivered through engineering and quality efforts
• Experience in designing and implementing cross-functional QA practices to effectively support an Agile environment
• Delivers testing capabilities which support all phases of testing and software development life cycle
• 10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance
• 10+ years of experience in a software products company especially SaaS software companies
