Granite State Management & Resources (GSM&R) has been helping students and parents plan and pay for college since 1986, and funds generated by the Organizations' student loan operation allows us to fulfill our important mission, and to grow programs that benefit the citizens of New Hampshire.
GSM&R is adding to its team and is seeking a Manager, Lending Services to join us in Concord, NH. This position is responsible for overseeing our private student loan origination and servicing functions to ensure our borrowers and the borrowers of our business partners receive excellent customer service and guidance throughout their student loan application, approval and disbursement process.
This manager will lead the Lending Services team in assisting student loan applicants with questions related to available loan programs, underwriting requirements, application statuses, loan disbursements and repayment terms, and will monitor student loan collection activities to ensure due diligence requirements are met and collection practices are adhered to according to Federal and State regulations. He/she will meet with applicants as needed to counsel and assist in application processing, and will analyze applicant financial and credit status to determine feasibility of granting their loan.
Other duties include participating in testing and review of system upgrades and making recommendations for enhancements to ensure quality loan servicing.
Our ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience working in financial services, consumer loan processing and/or collections in a management capacity, and will have demonstrated success in growing a team to meet business needs. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization is required; a commitment to providing superior customer service is necessary for success.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field is preferred but not mandatory.

This position supports a federal contract that requires applicants to be able to obtain a Public Trust security clearance from the U.S. Government. This process will include a criminal and credit background check to determine eligibility and suitability for federal contract employment. US Citizenship may be required for a Public Trust security clearance to be considered.
