Position Summary:

The Human Resource Manager is responsible for attracting high-quality talent and cultivating a positive culture to help our organization grow and prosper. This individual serves an important role as an employee experience champion and is a valued member of the leadership team.  They will think strategically while delivering on key initiatives, identify process improvement, recommend technology enhancements, and ensure overall HR compliance and risk management.

Primary Areas of Responsibility:

  • Recruiting, employee engagement, performance management, employee relations, compensation & benefits, FLMA, Worker’s Comp, process and systems improvement

General Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives in alignment with overall business strategy
  • Use modern strategies like social media, sourcing tools, and other technology to identify and recruit the high-caliber and qualified people
  • Create and maintain a positive, rewarding work environment where employees feel valued and are invested in their work
  • Develop and monitor overall HR initiatives, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization
  • Partner with senior management to maintain an effective performance management system that drives high performance
  • Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing concerns, issues, and coaching for improvement
  • Ensure legal compliance in all areas of human resource management

Requirements:

  • Proven work experience in an HR leadership position
  • Demonstrated success in recruiting labor and professional roles in multiple locations using inbound attraction methods and outbound sourcing strategies
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships with all levels of the organization including conflict resolution
  • Experience managing data and workflows using HR technology like HRIS and ATS
  • Ability to navigate and support change and ambiguity
  • In-depth knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices
  • Strong technology aptitude and experience with office productivity tools like MS Office Suite, O365, and other web-based tools
  • Knowledge of Davis-Bacon, EEO, Affirmative Action, EPA, and OSHA laws
