We are looking for a Marketing & Administrative Intern to assist our organization with 65 employees in four locations throughout the US and Canada.  This position would be located at our Marlborough, MA headquarters. 

Job Description:

The Marketing & Administrative Intern will assist both our Business Development/Marketing team of three employees, as well as our Administrative team of six employees, with various Marketing and Administrative tasks.  This is a summer internship position ideally designed for current sophomores or juniors in college. 

What will you take away from this internship?   You will be an integral part of our small company’s vital back office support operations.  You will gain valuable Marketing, Business Development and Administrative experience, strengthen your communication skills and relationship building skills, and learn about the inner workings of a consulting firm.  Further, you will experience a first-hand view of the exciting and evolving landscape of the energy industry in North America. 

 Responsibilities:

  • Assist with event coordination and sponsorships for various utility and energy conferences across North America
  • Assist with the creation of internal communications, emails, project proposals, ad copy/mockups, and social media content
  • Coordinate marketing and business development meetings
  • Gather competitor intelligence from marketing material and digital content
  • Engage in various projects in Vision, our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool
  • Work within Vision CRM software to assist with data cleanup in preparation for a transition to an upgraded CRM version
  • Scan documents and reports and save them to appropriate folders on internal drives
  • Assist with the monthly supply orders
  • Additional ad hoc administrative and marketing support as needed

 Requirements

  • Current sophomore or junior attending an accredited undergraduate university
  • Preferred majors include Marketing and/or Business Administration
  • Previous experience working in an office environment preferred, but not required
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
