Brazos Valley Schools Credit Union offers a fun, challenging fast passed work environment where each team member is valued and can make a difference. We are currently searching for a talented multifaceted programmer to join our Information Technology team. This is a newly created position allowing the selected candidate to work closely with the Sr. VP of IT in creating the foundation of the programming and data analytics team.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Performing all functions in the software development life cycle (specification, analysis, design, coding, testing, maintenance, support, and documentation)
  • Planning, developing, testing and documenting programming projects,
  • Creating workflow automation,
  • Customizing the credit union core solution – Keystone,
  • Creating UI and batch scripts
  • Creating reports and dashboards,
  • Keystone API interface development,
  • Maintenance of existing programs,
  • Working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment,
  • Leading projects
  • Mentoring to Jr Team members,
  • Lead the charge in implementing Tableau as the credit union’s business intelligence tool,
  • Reporting directly to the Sr. VP of IT the status of all projects on a regular basis.

What You Need for this Position

Required Qualifications

  • B.S. in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience with Development Languages: JavaScript, Java, C++, PHP, and .NET
  • Experience with web technologies including: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML,and DOM
  • Relational Database experience with one or more of the following: PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLServer, and DB2.
  • Experience with Analytics and reporting tools: Tableau, Jaspersoft Studio, and Crystal Reports.
  • Practical experience with functional programming, and designing concurrent and distributed systems
  • Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail
  • Self- motivated with an innovative mindset and have strong analytical abilities
  • You must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Corelaton, Keystone Core System,
  • Experience re-engineering tasks for more efficient workflow and results,
  • Experience relaying technical processes in laymen terminology,
  • Experience in creating management dashboards,
