As our next Consulting Utility Forester, you’re on the road and traveling trails. We keep the lights on anywhere there’s a power line - whether it’s the mountain ridge, neighborhoods, or deep in the urban forest. That’s your office as a Consulting Utility Forester keeping communities informed about the trees and power lines.
CNUC is an employee-owned company with a commitment to recruiting and developing the best talent in the utility vegetation management industry. As our company continues to expand across the country and beyond, new career opportunities as a Consulting Utility Forester are becoming available.
Working for CNUC could be your next great job if:
- You love talking to new people, being outside, and working independently.
- You know this role is more than addressing tree-powerline conflicts - it’s about making power lines safer for the public. It’s critical that you pay attention to details.
- You’re willing to learn. You may have a degree in forestry, horticulture, environmental science or have worked for a utility or environmental company before, and with CNUC you’ll be encouraged to expand your forestry knowledge through continuing education and certification. An ISA Arborist Certification is desirable (or ability to attain within one year).
- You have knowledge in species identification and invasive species knowledge, plus knowledge of tree growth rates.
On the road in this role, our office is the great outdoors: just you, your truck, and more beautiful scenery en route to your next job.
While you take care of the power lines, we’ll take care of you. Our benefits include wellness reimbursements, clothing stipends, company vehicle, gas card along with the traditional health and wellness coverage.
