Equipment Manager
Under the direction of Operations Manager & Regional Equipment Manager, the purpose of this position is to manage overall operations of equipment within the Company.
Essential Job Functions:
- Manage equipment business model established for all Company equipment operations.
- Develop, manage and lead our Safety Culture.
- Ensure all local laws, regulations, rules and company policies are in compliance.
- Develop local accounts and local vendor programs to leverage our position for reduced pricing on equipment, parts and services.
- Provide cost reduction through sound procurement policy, efficient repair management techniques, and effective utilization of assets.
- Work closely with staff in order to facilitate the mutual benefit of maintaining Company equipment.
- Ensure Company equipment is safe and well-maintained.
- Manage all repair and maintenance expenses.
- Conduct quarterly meetings to facilitate effective equipment operations within company.
- Performs in depth reviews of equipment business processes, budgets and other financial records.
- Ensure vehicle and work area are clean and well maintained.
- Ensure all assets are entered accurately and all assets in Company are properly accounted for at all times
- Annually validate inventory accuracy of all property for the company
- Annually develop and manage equipment budget for workshop equipment
- Manage overall allocation of assets between all divisions in order to reduce amount of capital expenditure needed.
- Manage Company asset transfers, deletions, and other asset management as required for 100% accountability.
- Ensure source document accuracy and complete information such as proper authorization levels, asset and cost center accuracy on all related documents.
- Annually develop and manage capital budget and 5-year plan for all assets based on input from Operations Managers & Company President.
- Manage priority of equipment for capital expenditures.
- Manages the marketing and sale of all surplus equipment.
Qualification & Credentialing Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 10+ years of relevant work experience.
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical information from schematics, technical manuals, technical drawings, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
- Strong computer skills (Windows based programs and email).
- Possess and maintain an acceptable driving record according to company standards.
- Practical knowledge of the function, operation, and maintenance of heavy trucks and construction equipment.
