Building Automation Controls Sales Engineer

  bullet responsibilities

The primary responsibility for this position is to sell new commercial, and industrial Building Automation Controls projects and service agreements. 

Enervise target prospects: Building owners and managers and selected plan and spec projects where we can work directly for building owners or their GC’s in existing buildings. 

Markets include: Regional sales territory covering portions of Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana supporting our branches in Greater Cincinnati, northern and central Kentucky, Dayton, Columbus, and Zanesville markets. 

Your role: Prospecting, estimating, design, proposal generation and closing projects and service contracts. 

Your team: You will collaborate with our Director of Project Operations for HVAC and Controls who will assist with controls engineering and project manage what you sell. We ask that you be committed to communicating effective project turnovers, be supportive of the team, and nurture our client relationships through completion of each project

 

  bullet required knowledge, skills, abilities 

Education - Four-year bachelors, or two-year associate degree; Or similar technical, business and sales experience working with at least 10 years in the fields of HVAC and Building Automation controls.

Sales experience - proven professional sales ability to prospect and develop new business and aggressively close sales. Proven track record in meeting and annual booking plan selling building automation controls. 

Book of business – it is preferred if you have ready client relationships and project pipeline to sell from. 

Energy solutions consulting experience - or (CEM) Certified energy manager – is preferred with experience developing paid from savings projects, or performance contacting. With skill sets to calculate energy savings impact on cash flow, pay-back, ROI, leasing vs purchase. 

Technical knowledge - of Building Automation systems including Tridium open protocol controls is preferred. 

Computer skills - in Word, Excel, estimating software, Microsoft Dynamics CRM sales programs.

Five + years’ experience in HVAC industry, preferred.

Valid Driver’s license with a clean driving record

Drug Free and able to pass Criminal Background Check
