We are looking for highly dependable team players to join our staff as Full-Time Food Processing Facility Line Supervisor (Night Shift). Food processing workers are responsible for working in the food production line, monitoring the machinery during the mixing and extraction processes to make sure our product quality standards are being met. Here’s what you will do:

  • Accomplish manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures
  • Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities
  • Maintain work flow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments
  • Complete production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries
  • Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
  • Ensure operation of equipment by calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques
  • Provide manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests
  • Create and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements; implementing change
  • Maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures
  • Resolve personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Follow all health and safety regulations when operating equipment
  • Ensure regulated and proper headgear, ear plugs, gloves, safety glasses and clothing are worn by Team Members

Here’s what you will need to be successful:

  • High school diploma or equivalent educational experience; vocational school or trade apprenticeships a plus
  • Street smarts with a good work ethic
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Background or experience in the food industry
  • Be 18 years of age
  • Comfortable climbing up ladders
  • Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 40 pounds
  • Positive attitude and work ethic
  • Able to work independently or as an active member of a team
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
  • Forklift certification is a plus
  • English fluency a must and Spanish fluency a plus
