Job Description
Responsible for the execution and coordination of preventive, corrective or predictive maintenance activities on the machines, projects and personnel area, while focusing on improving operations and minimizing costs
Job Requirements
- Establishes preventative maintenance programs for thermoforming and extrusion machines to ensure on going quality on products.
- Verify compliance with preventative, corrective and predictive maintenance program.
- Transfer knowledge, by training technicians in proper procedures to conduct maintenance activities, explaining machines specifications, spare parts, proper use of tools and safety hazards.
- Control and track maintenance expenses of the area.
- Coordinate activities of employees regarding machine repairs.
- Define reorder points for spare parts.
- Present improvement plans for extrusion and thermoforming technologies.
- Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance activities performed by staff.
- Planning and schedule maintenance activities through third parties.
- Attend the meetings scheduled in order to increase the availability for the machines trough the action plans and execute them with the team and related areas.
- Place requisition for tools, parts and supplies required for equipment/facilities maintenance and repair.
- Adhere to corporate KPI’s while maintaining data in CMMS.
- Generate reports about the performance of indicators, goals and action plans.
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance when is necessary.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in a safe, efficiently and proper way according to manufacturing requirements.
- Ensure people maintain a clean and orderly work area throughout the shift.
