Your role at GEI.
- Create long-lasting professional relationships with new and existing clients
- Supervise, lead and train transportation design team
- Manage projects, including creating and monitoring project scope, schedule, budget and quality
- Review project financials and understand KPI’s such as multipliers, overhead and profit
- Establish priorities, work schedules and coordinate resources
- Perform technical tasks including research, reports, design, specifications and plan preparation
- Develop new business by managing client relationships and lending expertise to marketing team for successful development of proposals and project interviews
- Facilitate meetings with internal staff and external clients
You’ll Be Best Suited for this Position if You Have the Following Skills/Attributes:
- Ability to lead multiple projects/tasks simultaneously
- Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strategic, macro-level thinker with an analytical and technical orientation
- Authoritative, quick decision maker based on knowledge and experience
- Experience with construction specifications, inspection procedures and construction contract administration for TxDOT and other public agency clients
- Design-build project experience
- Experience developing business for transportation practice
- Experience managing client relationships
Minimum Requirements:
- Licensed Professional Engineer in Texas
- 15 years’ experience in transportation engineering for state department of transportation (preferably TxDOT)
- Experience managing transportation projects for public agency clients
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Primavera, job cost accounting systems
- MicroStation or CADD experience
