POSITION GOAL

 

This position is responsible for answering phone calls for the Energy Line, taking appointments, and completing intake for Energy Assistance programs.  This position will determine customers’ needs and eligibility for energy assistance and energy counseling services.  Duties will include assisting with energy education and counseling activities and providing information and referrals for other assistance resources.

 

SCHEDULE AND WAGE

Monday-Friday 8:00 am- 5:00 pm; $18.85 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  1. Energy assistance application intake
  2. Energy assistance application processing
  3. Verifying client income eligibility
  4. Answering energy crisis calls
  5. Budget counseling
  6. Teaching Energy Education classes
  7. Working with vendors on client behalf
  8. Data entry and tracking

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience

 

Associate's Degree and experience in human services or counseling or financial planning

OR

Equivalent combination of education and/or experience
