POSITION SUMMARY: Closet America Installers create Organization, Beauty & Joy for our customers. It’s what we do and how we do it that sets Closet America apart from its competitors, making us the largest locally owned business of its kind in the DMV. Installers go through intensive classroom and on-the-job training, and coaching, to quickly elevate to Lead installer, working to the highest levels of their capability.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty.
- Drive to customer job-site
- Perform installations at customers’ homes at prescribed times, taking care to protect their property
- Perform multi-step processes in a logical order, check your own work, and recognize and correct mistakes
- Maintain communication with Installation Manager throughout the day
- Clean workspace upon completion
- Demonstrate system to customers upon completion of the installation
- Complete paperwork with the customer and collect final payment
Skills & Abilities:
- Technical – Ability to read and interpret design drawings, associating parts to proper assemblies. Ability to understand different hardware types and the ability to do final surface detailing.
- Dexterity & Balance – Ability to carry the product through weather into workspaces and to assemble without damage.
- Goal-Oriented - Ability to focus on a goal and obtain a pre-determined result.
- Professionalism – Conduct and appearance is professional and to company standards and policies, with the ability to clearly communicate with customers to assure expectations are met.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education & Experience: High school diploma with tech school or on-the-job construction, installation, or finish carpentry experience.
- Tool Skills: Skilled in the use of corded and cordless tools including the following: hammer drill, jigsaw, miter saw, multi-tool, portable table saw, and more.
- Computer & Handheld Skills: Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), ability to use payment Apps, scanning Apps, and scheduling tools.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4 years’ experience installing closets or related home improvement products
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The duties of this position are performed in the installation van, outdoors, and in a warehouse environment that is not climate controlled, and at the customer job site, which may or may not be climate-controlled or exposed to the elements.
