We are looking for highly dependable team players to join our staff as Maintenance Technician (Night Shift). Here’s what you will do:

  • Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
  • Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, or power tools.
  • Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance actions.
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.
  • Repair machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations when operating equipment
  • Wear proper headgear, ear plugs, gloves, safety glasses and clothing when required
  • Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner
  • Observe, receive, and obtain information from all relevant sources.
  • Identify information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events.
  • Monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems.
  • Complete daily assignments (long and short term) as given by Maintenance supervisor
  • Perform breakdown, routine maintenance, preventative maintenance and project work on all company equipment including: equipment installations, motors, pneumatic tools, production machines and equipment in conformance to specifications, safety, sanitation, and quality requirements
  • Perform ground and building maintenance
  • May be required to be fork lift certified for the operation of a forklift during day to day operations
  • Pipe fitting; boiler making; insulating; welding; machining; carpentry; repairing electrical or mechanical equipment; installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment; and repairing buildings and foundations
  • Be specialized in one or more of the following areas: millright, welder, electrician, or instrumentation specialist

Here’s what you will need to be successful:

    • Training in vocational schools, related on-the-job experience, or an associate degree.
    • Database user interface and query software such as Microsoft Access, Microsoft SQL Server
    • Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Excel
    • PLC and HMI programming capabilities including troubleshooting and modification abilities.
    • Available and willing to be on rotating call schedule for emergency maintenance need
    • Possess stainless steel sanitary welding and fabrication including installation abilities
    • Complete understanding of electrical requirements in an industrial facility.  This includes being able to troubleshoot 480V motors, MCCs, and VFDs,as well as a variety of low voltage 120-24V sensors used to monitor level, temperature, flow, etc.  Analog Control loops are very common in our facility.
    • Be at least 18 years of age
    • Comfortable climbing up ladders
    • Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 40 pounds
    • Positive attitude and work ethic
    • Able to work independently or as an active member of a team
    • Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
    • Forklift certification is a plus, or ability to obtain
    • English fluency a must and Spanish fluency a plus
    • Background or experience in the food industry a plus
