Kee Container Services provide logistics support to Ferrous Processing and Trading Company, a premier processor, seller and recycler of scrap metal of all kinds. From massive auto shredding operations and specialty steel making and foundry products to nonferrous metals and industrial scrap management. We are supported by the unique skills and experience of our management, commercial and operations team. We have built our reputation on the core values of integrity, responsiveness, expertise and creativity in scrap metal recycling.

Position Overview:

The Truck and Trailer Mechanic is responsible for all repairs and maintenance throughout our fleet. They will have the ability to diagnose and ensure the roadworthiness of the company-owned equipment in compliance with standards set by the Federal DOT. The mechanic position also completes and maintains repair and maintenance records on the trucks they service.

Employment Type:

Full-time with day and afternoon shifts.

Minimum Qualifications for Truck and Trailer Mechanics include:

• Experience in the repair of engines, brakes, suspensions and electrical equipment on trucks and trailers;
• Handle all preventative maintenance on trucks;
• Observe and inspect trucks and trailers to locate any causes of possible malfunctions and making necessary repairs;
• Lubricate and clean truck parts as needed;
• Drive trucks and trailers to test their performance.
• Valid driver’s license;
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs.;
• Mechanic license or the equivalent of experience;
• Successful completion of a pre-employment background, physical and substance screening process including, but not limited to, employment verification, criminal and motor vehicle record (MVR) search as well as continued verification throughout employment to ensure that all records meet company policy standards.
