Job Description:

Network Administrator provides support in the administration, configuration, and maintenance of LAN/WAN and VPN equipment and software, including hubs, routers, switches, firewalls, fiber and copper wiring, serial communication lines and other communication systems.

Plans, installs, supports hardware and software upgrades. Implements and maintains the security configurations and patches management using the DISA Layer2 and Layer 3 STIGs.

Recommends network improvements and a comprehensive recovery plan for performance and security situations.

Supports OSI model, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues at all levels of the OSI model through the use of diagnostics and network administration monitoring tools.

Troubleshoots complex TCP/IP networking protocols. Covers all network problems/ outages, maintains a log, including cause and resolution. Documents and maintains network administration processes. Schedules conversions and cutovers. Supports cyber security services: reporting to the ISSO and ISSM.

Communicates services and related updates/modifications to other team members.

Requirements:

2+ years of experience in IT Management and Network Engineering.

BS degree in CS & Engineering or related area preferred.

Must have Security+ certification.

Recommended:

CCNA certification or willing to obtain within 6 months.
